Jarabe De Palo - Flaca (Aniv) [LP]

LA FLACA was Jarabe de Palo's first album release back in 1996. This is the first vinyl release for this album and will include an aqua marble color disc. This album introduced Spain to some new and creative sounds and fusion of music styles by one of their own. This freshman album would become successful in the band's country witnessing multi-platinum status and eventually, the album would also take off throughout Latin America as well. Right before the band started gaining recognition, it was Pau Donés' trip to Cuba that gave him the inspiration for the majority of the songs he wrote and became the bands first studio album. Both the album title and track, LA FLACA, rose from a young, lovely skinny (La Flaca) woman he saw walking alongside Havana's shoreline known as El Malecon. This song would become one of a few strong singles that became known in the world of Spanish rock music. Other singles found here include "Quiero Ser Poeta", "Quitame La Vida", "Grita" and "El Lado Oscuro".
