Rebekka Bram Susanne - Vulnerable & Strong [CD]

Three song cycles, three musical worlds - linked by contrasts between vulnerability, longing, and inner strength: Featuring Richard Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, Antonin Dvorak's Gypsy Melodies, and Richard Strauss's Songs, Op. 27, this program brings together works of great emotional intensity and expressiveness. For this recording, Swiss soprano Rebekka Susanne Bram found a musical partner in pianist Ievgeniia Iermachkova, whose expressive and atmospherically rich playing impressively brings to life the intense dialogue between voice and piano.
